staffing
Once again management is not following the contract. They are not following the staffing grids that clearing state minimum staff. The grids are there for both Patient as well as Staff safety. We fought hard to get staffing grids in the contract and we will not allow them to be disregarded by management. Management can always staff up just not at the cost of a union member!

it seems as if we have been down this road before with staff grids and wondering the progress being made? wondering if we can establish grids on the residentials?
wondering when the next ex. council meeting is to be?
items my union folk would like to see are:
the differential be included in vacation time away.
also i left a response to the poor attendence at membership meeting and suggested that for union meetings we send out a e-mail using the retreat e-mail. what think you? of course we would also have to include where the meeting is to take place.
another thought is to have just a ingeneral comment section to the blog. what think you?
